What is the Bridge Program?
A six-session, DBT-informed program for children and adolescents age 6 to 18. The program is designed to stabilize, assess, and build foundational skills while identifying the most appropriate next level of care.
Through targeted skill-building and individualized recommendations, children and teens develop practical skills to manage emotions, slow reactive behaviors, build confidence, and strengthen relationships at home, school, and in their communities.
Who is it for?
The bridge program may be appropriate for children and adolescents ages 6 to 18 who:
Would benefit from targeted skill-building
Experience emotion dysregulation
Struggle with impulsive or reactive behaviors
Experience mild to moderate anxiety or depression
Would benefit from further diagnostic clarification

The Bridge program focuses only on 1-2 target goals rather than attempting to address every issue simultaneously. Having a time frame allows us to review progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment.

Six sessions do not automatically mark the end of treatment. We review progress and outline appropriate recommendations for next steps.

Bridge offers brief, DBT-informed intervention, whereas Comprehensive DBT involves a multi-component, higher intensity treatment program.

Next steps may involve ongoing skill practice, outpatient therapy, target refocusing, psychiatric consultation, comprehensive DBT, or outside referrals.
