Pick one of the following to do to practice Turning the Mind:
Pick three days to practice turning your mind toward acceptance with whatever shows up that day - observe nonacceptance, make an inner commitment to practice accepting reality today, then do it again.
Rehearse a cope ahead plan at least three times for non-acceptance showing up.

Complete Diary Card daily.
Do at least one activity each day to build mastery. Record what you do on Emotion Regulation Worksheet 12 (pg. old book - 301 / new book - 257). Make sure you pause after you do your activity to reinforce yourself.
Practice the cope ahead plan you wrote in class at least 3 more times.
Write out 2 more cope ahead plans for other situations and mentally rehearse them at least 3 times.
Continue to mindfully participate in 1 Short Term Pleasant Activity each day AND take one action step toward a goal based on the value you are working towards.
