Weekly Skills Practice:
Use opposite action to fill out your diary card this week even when you want to avoid it.
Practice your opposite action plan twice that you made in class for fear. Write down what you learned by doing opposite action to fear. OR
Pick two more emotions that are not justified in a specific situation and fill out Emotion Regulation Worksheet 7 for each emotion (pg. old book 288 / new book 230). Make sure to practice the opposite action if possible for each emotion and fill out the worksheet on the aftereffect of doing opposite action.

Fill out Interpersonal Effectiveness Worksheet 5 (old book page 175; new book page 122) once - noting how you can integrate DEARMAN, GIVE and FAST together.

Verbally do a DEARMAN twice with someone this week (use ideas from the previous slide to challenge yourself).

Be Gentle Practice: Come up with a statement that you can use to exit conversations gracefully when needed - without threats or attacks or disrespectful statements.
Act Interested Practice: In one interaction this week, focus on acting interested in the other person. Write down what you learn.
Validation Practice: a) Practice validating someone (even yourself) once a day. b) Fill out Interpersonal Effectiveness Worksheet 12 (old book pg. 192 / new book pg. 163).
Easy Manner Practice: Practice smiling at people this week and notice what the results are for you and the other person.
