Learn More About the Green Bottle Tiered Payment Plan

At DBT Network of Utah, we believe that everyone should have access to high-quality psychiatric services, regardless of their financial situation. The Green Bottle Tiered Payment Plan was created by Alexis J. Gunningfolk as an economic justice tool to enable people to adjust what they pay based on their access to resources. It ensures that you can receive the care you need while paying what you can afford. Whether you're seeking individual therapy or comprehensive DBT services, our tiered payment structure makes treatment more accessible, with no questions asked.

The Payment Tiers

  • Tier 1

The lowest price for those with limited financial resources. This tier reflects an honest acknowledgment that there are folks whose economic circumstances would prevent them from being able to access services if there was not a deliberate opportunity made for them to access services at a cost that is reflective of their economic realities. If you struggle to maintain access to needs such as health care, housing, food, child care, and are living paycheck to paycheck or are in significant debt, you likely belong here.

  • Tier 2

A middle price tier for those who can pay more but still need some financial flexibility. If you are struggling to conquer debt or move away from paycheck to paycheck living but have access to steady income and are not spending most of your time thinking about meeting basic needs such as food, shelter, medical care, child care, etc., you belong here. If you, however, can ask others for financial support, such as family members, partners, or friends, please consider using those personal resources to pay for Tier 3.

  • Tier 3

The highest tier for those who are able to contribute at a higher rate to support the clinic’s mission and sustainability. This tier reflects the full cost of services. If you have access to financial security, own property or have personal savings, you would not traditionally qualify for sliding scale services. If you are able to pay for "wants" and spend little time worrying about securing necessities in your life, this price is likely for you.
